Pre/Post-Sales Machine Learning Engineer Join us as the first Pre/Post-Sales Machine Learning Engineer at Oumi. In this role you’ll bridge technical expertise and customer success, working closely with customers to design, train, and deploy AI models using our platform.

Role Overview This role blends solution architecture, applied machine learning, and customer interaction—ideal for someone who loves building systems and helping others use them. You’ll shape our team, influence product design, and help deliver a world‑class experience for customers.

Responsibilities

Partner with customers throughout the pre‑sales and post‑sales lifecycle, from technical demos and proof‑of‑concept design to hands‑on training and deployment.

Train, fine‑tune, and evaluate modern LLMs and other AI models using Oumi’s platform.

Design scalable ML workflows and AI solution architectures, applying best practices in data preparation, training, and deployment.

Act as a technical advocate, translating research innovations into practical solutions and helping customers understand Oumi’s capabilities.

Collaborate with product and research teams to surface customer needs and drive platform improvements.

Develop technical guides, demos, and best‑practice resources to enable customers and the open community.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in applied ML, ML infrastructure, or solution/sales engineering roles.

Deep understanding of machine‑learning workflows and experience training or fine‑tuning modern foundation models (LLMs, diffusion, multimodal).

Proficiency in Python and AI/LLM best practices, including model‑training frameworks and production deployment for use cases such as RAG and agents.

Strong communication skills to convey complex technical ideas to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Self‑directed learner who proactively addresses knowledge gaps.

Ability to manage ambiguity and own problems end‑to‑end.
