Coastal Pines Behavioral Health Hospital, 150 Moon Bay Parkway, St. Augustine, FL 32095 Acadia Healthcare seeks a Full‑time CMO/Psychiatrist to lead our new 144‑bed behavioral health hospital in St. Augustine, FL. Facility opening: March 10 2026. Services include inpatient psychiatric care, PHP, IOP, and ECT. About the Role
Lead clinical team and manage medical operations within state and federal regulations and accreditation standards. Responsible for quality, efficiency and management of service delivery. Define protocols and assist decision‑making regarding medical and clinical care. Provide direct patient care and coordinate with physician staff. Supervise clinical and administrative staff. Serve as liaison between medical staff and corporate leadership. Monitor staff adherence to established medical and clinical policy. Provide backup call coverage. Provide teaching and training for personnel. Perform history and physical examination, order diagnostic testing, prescribe medication and treatments. Assist management of behavioral/mental health problems and maintain clinical records. Manage finances – budgeting, billing and spending. Develop organizational goals and strategies to meet them. Develop, approve, implement and update general policies, protocols and procedures. Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required. Board certified or eligible in Psychiatry preferred. Previous experience as a Medical Director preferred. Licenses/Certifications
Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of operation. Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions per state regulations. Our Comprehensive Treatment Network
