About The Role As the Senior Software Engineer, Tooling and Development Infrastructure, you will play a critical role in shaping the developer productivity tools and automated testing strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with design, development, and quality teams to plan, design, and implement robust automated tools and services that ensure the quality and reliability of our AI software stack. You will be highly hands‑on in your work and collaborate closely with stakeholders.

This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the development of cutting‑edge automation frameworks, foster a culture of quality, and contribute to the long‑term success of the organization.

What You Might Do

Develop and implement automation frameworks and testing strategies that cover the entire software stack, from backend systems to user‑facing features.

Identify, evaluate, and integrate new tools that streamline development, including code quality tools and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) solutions.

Lead continuous improvement efforts for our build, release, and test systems, ensuring a robust and efficient CI/CD pipeline.

Explore and implement AI tools, such as the OpenAI API, to create both deterministic and non‑deterministic testing approaches that uncover hard‑to‑find bugs.

Design and build reusable automated tests and tools that establish a high standard for the team, empowering other engineers to adopt and contribute to best practices.

Partner with System Software, Automation, and Test teams to ensure testing strategies are integrated and aligned across the organization.

Use your deep understanding of system logs and backend processes to diagnose and resolve complex issues that arise during testing.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

6+ years of experience in automation engineering.

Hands‑on experience working with Linux and Windows.

Strong proficiency in developing tools for test automation.

Deep understanding of observability and telemetry.

Good understanding of complete software development life cycle.

Proficiency in Python or other object‑oriented programming languages.

Preferred Skills

Deep understanding of the entire development ecosystem and ability to design scalable build, release, and test systems.

Expertise with CI/CD pipelines, hands‑on experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

Proficiency with test automation frameworks such as Pytest, and ability to lead their adoption.

Experience with observability and monitoring tools, including Splunk, to provide deep insights.

Experience with consumer electronics is a plus.

Familiarity with ML usage – leveraging machine learning models in a product environment – is a plus.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, excellent communication, and ability to manage cross‑functional relationships.

Compensation & Benefits (Full‑Time Employees) The salary range for this role is listed above. Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors including individual job‑related qualifications, education, experience, knowledge and skills.
