Job Description
The Maintenance Engineer holds a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel equipment and facilities. This position demands strong technical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and attention to detail to address maintenance needs spanning HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Alongside technical expertise, the role requires physical stamina, adept time management, and a collaborative spirit to foster a safe and well-maintained environment for guests and staff.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Technical & Preventive Maintenance
Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and repairs on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other hotel systems.
Conduct preventive maintenance on guest rooms, common areas, and equipment such as refrigerators, ice machines, and exhaust fans.
Repair minor carpentry, painting, and furniture issues to maintain property aesthetics and functionality.
Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving
Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, leaks, electrical issues, and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire alarms, power failures, or mechanical breakdowns, ensuring guest safety.
Safety Compliance
Lift and move objects (50+ lbs.), stand, walk, climb ladders, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
Follow OSHA safety guidelines when handling tools, chemicals, and machinery.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas, ensuring proper storage of tools and hazardous materials.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in hotel maintenance or a related field preferred.
Trade license (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry) is highly desirable.
Valid driver's license required, with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
