Interventional Cardiologist – Call Coverage (Locum Tenens)
Location:
Illinois (Hospital in Illinois)
Assignment:
Call-only coverage for 2 weeks per month (June–September), potential extension. Flexibility on weeks.
Compensation:
$100–$1,000 per hour (based on skills and experience).
Responsibilities:
Provide interventional cardiology services to cover calls.
Respond to calls within 30 minutes.
Managing expected volume: 15–18 patients seen, 5–10 admissions per day.
Average number of calls per hour: 5.
Qualifications:
Board certification in Interventional Cardiology.
Active Illinois medical license.
Clean background (no malpractice or NPBD reports).
ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certification.
Full clearance of background checks.
Hospital Details:
Level II Trauma Center, 400 beds.
Credentialing:
90-day; temporary/emergency privileges available for 100% clean background.
EMR System:
Epic.
