Position Overview Chief Purpose of this position:
This open‑rank, full‑time faculty position in the Division of Vascular and Critical Care Neurology provides patient care, engages in medical student and neurology resident/fellow education, and participates in clinical research. The faculty member will also serve on departmental and university committees as required.
Position Responsibilities
Clinical:
Care of patients in both neurocritical care inpatient and outpatient settings.
Teaching:
Teach medical students and housestaff; participate in formal conferences for housestaff and students; attend weekly Grand Rounds and neurological lectures as requested.
Research:
Participate in, and when appropriate lead, clinical research and clinical trials within the Division of Vascular and Critical Care Neurology.
Service:
Serve on departmental, School of Medicine, and/or University committees; perform professional duties such as reviewing, conference organization, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
MD or MD/PhD degree (or equivalent)
BC/BE in Neurology
Successful completion of a neurology residency at an ACGME accredited institution
Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with faculty, staff and students of all backgrounds
Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience
