Overview The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children (AHFC) is looking for a dynamic and team‑oriented non‑invasive Pediatric Cardiologist that is well versed in fetal cardiology for our growing program. Training and background in fetal and transesophageal echocardiography and willingness to perform both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities is a must. The candidate must be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.

Board certification (or eligibility) through American Board of Pediatric Cardiology
Inpatient (consult) coverage at our main AHFC location: 1 call every 9-10 days and about 5-6 weekends per year
Outpatient outreach clinics

Fetal Cardiology and Advanced Imaging
Practice Description This employment opportunity includes benefits of call coverage and competitive compensation. Other benefits include occurrence‑based malpractice coverage, paid leave days, CME days and allowance, 403(b) retirement plan, health insurance for physician and family, and relocation allowance. The practice is part of AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG), a sister organization of AdventHealth employing 600+ physicians in 60+ specialties. This model allows physicians to focus on the clinical aspects of medicine.
Hospital Description Our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is a full‑service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 30 pediatric ICU beds with a dedicated PICU, a 102‑bed NICU, 17‑bed pediatric emergency department, and a statewide pediatric network and transport system. We began our comprehensive pediatric cardiac surgery program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes. The cardiac interventional program serves patients from premature to adulthood with advanced hybrid techniques. We also have key destination programs including a level IV Epilepsy program, the region’s only BMT and solid organ transplants (kidney and liver), and we increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017. Our network consists of 28 hospitals across the state with one children’s hospital at the center totaling over 15,000 births and several highly successful pediatric subspecialty programs, including outreach clinics. In 2019, AdventHealth for Children was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the best Children’s Hospital for newborn care in Florida, and by The Leapfrog Group as a top Children’s Hospital for quality and safety, and is a magnet‑designated hospital for nursing care.
