Job Duties Include
Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes for employees.
Maintain accurate employee records.
Administer payroll and assist with leave management.
Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
Provide visa workforce support.
Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new employees.
Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws, including H-2A and other visa program regulations.
Interact with government agencies regarding visa documentation and audits.
Track visa timelines, renewals, and expirations.
Provide support and resources for domestic and international workers.
Work closely with the visa and HR team.
Support housing, transportation, and logistical arrangements for visa workers.
Prepare, update, and maintain employment records related to hiring, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
Ensure timely completion and processing of new hire paperwork and onboarding documentation.
Be a self-starter; ability to work independently as well as with other team members and management.
Attend required company meetings and training and participate in constructive discussion.
Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
Conduct yourself in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of Threemile Canyon Farms.
Explain HR policies, procedures, labor laws, and standards to new and existing employees.
Process employment applications, status changes, leaves of absence, and other employment activities.
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding employee records and employment verification.
Perform pre-employment screenings, post-accident screenings and respond to unemployment-related questions.
Compile and maintain union-related reports and documentation.
Answer phones and support general HR office operations as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Passion for customer service and supporting team members.
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritizing skills.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, organizational.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Commitment to safety and confidentiality.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in agriculture.
Experience in unionized environments is a plus.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with H-2A, TN or other employment-based visa programs a plus.
Candidate must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
