The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Senior Delivery Consultant with telecommunications industry specialization to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with telecommunications customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing both strategic technical leadership and hands‑on delivery expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Job Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Solution Design:

Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to telecommunications customer needs

Lead technical and design discussions with telecom IT executives to help enterprises speed their adoption of new technologies and practices

Architect cloud‑native telecommunications solutions leveraging AWS services for network functions, edge computing, and 5G infrastructure

Guide customers' technical investments, maximizing alignment with the AWS platform and ease of adoption as new services become available

Build solutions that solve difficult technical problems to accomplish defined business outcomes for telecommunications customers

Hands‑on Technical Implementation & Delivery:

Hands‑on implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management for telecom infrastructure and applications

Build and manage release systems, code merging and promotion, and CI/CD workflows for telecom workloads

Architect and build highly secure scalable cloud native solutions for telecommunications customers

Implement DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration and automated deployment for telecom environments

Build and deploy automation solutions for telecommunications operations and network management

Customer Engagement & Advisory:

Act as a trusted advisor to telecommunications customers on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative cloud solutions

Work with customers and partners to internalize their context while using business and technical skills to design solutions based on requirements and constraints

Lead customer discovery sessions that earn trust, uncover blockers, and document technical scope for telecom‑specific workloads

Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current telecom infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS

Project Delivery & Implementation:

Manage projects independently and deliver as part of larger teams focused on telecom transformations

Own and complete key tasks and deliverables for telecommunications cloud adoption initiatives

Ensure adherence to best practices, optimize performance, and manage risks throughout telecom project lifecycles

Work towards customer business outcomes, ensuring strong connection between delivery activities and telecom business objectives

Lead hands‑on implementation of telecom‑specific AWS solutions including network functions virtualization and edge computing

Automation & DevOps Leadership:

Hands‑on experience with architecting and automated provisioning using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other IaC tools

Implement monitoring and log aggregating frameworks for telecom workloads

Lead automation initiatives for telecommunications operations and network management

Advise and implement AWS best security practices for telecom environments

Knowledge Sharing & Innovation:

Create and apply frameworks, methods, best practices and artifacts specific to telecommunications industry

Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable telecom‑focused artifacts

Publish and present telecom cloud solutions in large forums and across various media platforms

Collaborate with AWS product teams to share telecom customer insights and identify product feature gaps

Keep up to date with new DevOps trends and technologies relevant to telecommunications

Basic Qualifications

8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, implementation, and technical leadership

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field, or equivalent experience

Experience in telecommunications industry with knowledge of telecom infrastructure, network functions, and industry‑specific challenges

Hands‑on experience with AWS services relevant to telecommunications (e.g., EC2, VPC, Direct Connect, Wavelength, Local Zones)

Hands‑on experience with architecting and automated provisioning (IaC), configuration management for infrastructure and applications

Experience with mainline programming and scripting languages such as Shell, Python, Ruby, Perl, Java, .Net, or C++

Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical telecom stakeholders

Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex project deliveries

Preferred Qualifications

AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional)

Experience with telecommunications technologies including 5G, edge computing, network function virtualization (NFV), software‑defined networking (SDN)

Knowledge of telecom industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., ETSI, 3GPP, regulatory frameworks)

Experience with CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production telecom environments

Understanding of telecom BSS/OSS systems and hands‑on integration experience

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) for telecom workloads

Knowledge of security and compliance standards relevant to telecommunications industry

Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks like CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, AWS X‑Ray for telecom workloads

Hands‑on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture for telecom applications

Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices
