Production Supervisor - 1st Shift Supervises and coordinates the activities of workers within the department engaged in operating a variety of machines to manufacture parts or products.
Job Duties
Directly supervises employees. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Requirements
Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred;
Four (4) years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Practical knowledge of aircraft components, machining, welding, inspection and related disciplines.
Six Sigma Greenbelt/Blackbelt preferred
Position must be able to obtain a Repairman Certificate within 2-4 months of employment or have the credentials i.e. A&P license so they are able to supervise any maintenance activity
Must be fluent in English, i.e. speaking, reading, writing
INDOPS
Due to government regulation only US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role.
Chromalloy participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
Any offer of employment will also be conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with company policy and applicable federal and state regulations.
