Client Order Specialist – Cortland, NY
Intertek, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection, and Certification) Services, is looking for a Client Order Specialist to join our Electrical team in Cortland, NY.
Intertek’s Electrical business line applies more than 100 years of product testing expertise to help clients meet safety, performance, environmental and quality requirements for every market. What we’re looking for: The Client Order Specialist is responsible for administrative support of the sales and operations groups by processing signed sales quotations into orders and ensuring all quality standards and order requirements are met. The role requires integrity and a keen understanding of Intertek systems including iConnect, Phoenix, PeopleSoft, and EPF. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Responsibilities
Validate all documentation submitted by clients
Act as a liaison between customer, account manager, and operations as needed
Process orders across all Intertek systems
Research and assist with resolving account problems
Manage new and existing client accounts
Use financial tools to determine clients’ credit worthiness and status
Create inter‑company projects
Assist with resolution of invoicing issues, as necessary
Create deposit invoices and submit internal match payments
Perform other duties as required
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Associate’s degree or high school diploma/GED with 2 years of data entry experience
High level of attention to detail
Resolution oriented, client focused
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Previous CRM and web‑based program experience desired
Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to interface with both internal and external clients via telephone and email
Thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑task environment
Strong organizational and time‑management skills
Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively
Proactive and positive attitude
Team oriented
Must complete an I‑9 to verify eligibility to work in the U.S.
Must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States
Salary & Benefits The salary range for this position is $19–$22 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job‑related reasons.
