Job Title Head of Project Delivery – CTEC

Location Bedford – Cauldwell Street Campus, Bedford College

Salary Between £47,972 and £62,099 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Working Hours & Contract 37 hours per week, fixed‑term full‑time, fixed until 31 March 2029.

Right to Work UK‑based contract; you must have the Right to Work in the UK. Sponsorship is not offered.

About the Role We are seeking a Head of Project Delivery – CTEC to join our Construction department at The Bedford College Group.

Responsibilities

Lead and represent the CTEC Directorate at local and Group level.

Drive the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of CTEC projects, ensuring alignment with Group priorities, compliance, and industry needs.

Manage staff performance, development, and well‑being while overseeing budgets, resources and subcontractor relationships.

Keep the student experience at the heart of all Directorate activities, ensuring high‑quality provision and engagement.

Ensure adherence to statutory duties, policies, health & safety, safeguarding and equality standards across all operations.

About You

Level 5 Management and Level 2 Maths/English qualifications, strong IT literacy, and financial management competence.

Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, mentor staff and drive organisational change.

Significant experience delivering complex, multi‑site projects, managing budgets, contracts and external partners.

Deep understanding of education, skills and technical training sectors, including funding, policy and regulatory frameworks.

Excellent communication, problem‑solving and analytical skills; resilient, solution‑focused and aligned with TBCG values.
