Preconstruction Coordinator – Overview
Satterfiled & Pontikes
is seeking a Preconstruction Coordinator to play a pivotal role in supporting the preconstruction phase of commercial, industrial, and residential construction projects. This position is responsible for managing administrative and technical aspects of preconstruction activities, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams, clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners.

Key Responsibilities
Collect, review, and organize project plans, specifications, and related documentation
Maintain digital project files and ensure version control across preconstruction documentation
Prepare and distribute bid packages to subcontractors and vendors
Track responses and follow up to ensure timely bid submissions
Assist in compiling bid summaries and scope comparisons
Schedule internal and external preconstruction meetings
Prepare agendas and compile meeting minutes
Ensure timely communication of project updates and decisions to all stakeholders
Assist preconstruction and estimating teams with quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
Input and update cost data into estimating software
Help develop conceptual and detailed budgets under guidance of senior estimators
Maintain and update prequalified vendor and subcontractor lists
Initiate communication to clarify scope or request additional details
Support project teams in preparing applications for permits and approvals
Track status of regulatory submittals and communicate outcomes
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred
2–5 years of experience in a construction or preconstruction environment
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with construction documents, bid processes, and industry terminology
