A Medical Director/MDVM is responsible for creating a positive teamwork environment in which veterinarians and staff deliver quality medicine and exceptional client service. While partnering with the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for providing medical leadership for the practice, managing associate veterinarians, and assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine.
You Will Love
Supporting the veterinarian staff in the personal development of medical and administrative needs
Leading the staff and practice by growing the team, holding meetings, conducting annual reviews, developing and monitoring compliance protocols
Partnering with your Regional Operations Manager to ensure compliance with regulations, assist in the preparation of annual planning strategy, and develop a vision for the growth of the practice
Partnering with hospital leadership to lead the team, ensuring a culture of quality medicine and financial success for the clinic
Qualifications & Competencies
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, VMD, or equivalent, from an accredited university
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Texas.
Ideally, 5+ years of veterinary medicine experience
Positive and effective leadership abilities
Ability to manage staff and outcomes with emotional intelligenceCommitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
Delegation of tasks and achieving results with practice team members
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
