AI & Machine Learning Engineering Consultant - Manager - Consulting - Location OPEN Join EY's Artificial Intelligence and Data team as a Manager Consultant, leading the design, research, and implementation of scalable AI and machine learning solutions for diverse clients. This role combines deep technical expertise with client advisory, research, and team leadership.

Location: Anywhere in Country

The opportunity As a manager, you will work side‑by‑side with EY clients and cross‑functional teams to deliver advanced AI solutions, providing innovative, data‑driven answers to complex problems. You will research, build, and deploy AI systems across cloud and on‑premises environments, enhance data pipelines, and continuously improve model performance.

Your Key Responsibilities

Lead workstream delivery and ensure effective management of processes and projects.

Continuously improve processes by identifying innovative solutions through research and analysis.

Manage professional employees and supervise teams to deliver complex technical initiatives, with accountability for performance and results.

Engage actively with clients, participating in daily working sessions, and lead workstreams from planning through execution to closure.

Identify opportunities for additional services and manage engagement economics.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree (4‑year).

6‑10 years of full‑time experience in AI, data science, or machine learning.

2‑4 years of experience directly managing technical teams.

Strong Python skills.

Ability to lead, collaborate, and communicate with diverse, hybrid, and global teams.

Experience designing, building, and maintaining high‑impact production AI/ML solutions on a major cloud platform.

Proficient in generative AI models and frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, DALL‑E, LangChain, Retrieval Augmented Generation) and ML packages such as scikit‑learn and PyTorch.

Experience with natural language processing and deep learning.

Extensive experience in DevOps tools (GIT, Azure DevOps), Agile (Jira), and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with MLOps and ML workflows, including data ingestion, transformation, and evaluation.

Experience with model retraining, feedback loops, monitoring, and reporting.

Understanding of data structures, modeling, and software engineering best practices.

Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, operations research, SQL, Pandas, Spark, and deep learning.

Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel for client engagements.

Skills in technical design optimization, relationship building, client trust, digital fluency, emotional agility, commercial acumen, negotiation, and change leadership.

Ideally you’ll also have

A deep understanding of and ability to teach AI concepts, tools, and techniques.

Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physical sciences, or a quantitative field.

Experience delivering complex solutions with diverse teams.

Strong skills in languages beyond Python (R, JavaScript, Java, C++, C).

Experience fine‑tuning generative AI models.

Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

Strong grasp of industry trends and emerging technologies.

Skills in data visualization and storytelling.

Experience with image, speech, or audio processing and analysis.
