FAR INSPECTIONS
Overview
FAR Inspections is looking for independent contractors to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Based in Reno, NV, this 1099 role offers flexible schedules, predictable income, and the opportunity to earn $30‑$40 per hour.
Responsibilities
Complete most inspections in 5–6 minutes.
Finish each inspection within 4 days of assignment.
Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Submit a short form in a mobile app.
Drive extended periods while making numerous stops within the assigned territory.
Requirements
Computer with internet connection.
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus).
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license.
Pay and Hours This 1099 position pays a flat rate per inspection. Rates vary by county and volume, but you can earn the equivalent of $30–$40 per hour. Depending on the county’s urban or rural profile, you may complete 20–500 inspections per month while working 2–30 hours per week. Lower‑volume counties have higher rates; higher‑volume counties have lower rates. There is no set amount of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month‑to‑month. No additional mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
