Job Summary We are seeking a Director at BioLegend to guide our Immunoassay PD Team in developing and launching cutting‑edge ELISA and multiplex LEGENDplex™ panels. In this role, you’ll mentor and inspire a team of Managers, Scientists, and Associates while working cross‑functionally with R&D, marketing, manufacturing, QC, and external partners to deliver high‑quality, sustainable products that fuel scientific discovery and business growth.
We’re looking for a self‑motivated leader with a “can‑do” mindset, strong organization and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with precision. Success in this role requires a collaborative spirit, excellent communication skills, and prior experience leading teams.
Essential Functions
Lead scientifically (by providing leads, ideas, novel concepts, hypothesis, technologies, new products, etc.)
Mentor a team of managers, scientists and associates to develop new reagents and new products, as well as technologies following quality system requirements
Plan, organize, execute and report product development activities and progress
Manage all immunoassay product portfolio development & support
Collaborate with manufacturing, marketing, business group, QA/RA for successful commercialization of products and to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements
Additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor (e.g. custom assays and services)

Minimum Qualifications – Education And Experience
Ph.D. in immunology, biotechnology, analytical chemistry, or other relevant disciplines
10+ year product development experience with single‑analyte and/or multi‑analyte immunoassay development & commercialization
5+ years supervising/leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications – Education And Experience
8+ year of management/leadership experience
5+ year working experience in compliance with ISO14835
Demonstrated ability for effective communication
Demonstrated ability to advance multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner.
Demonstrated working experience with biomedical research and familiarity with clinical practices
Good understanding of advancement in biotechnology development
Work Environment & Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.

Salary The base salary range for this full‑time position is $180,000 – $200,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
