Family Medicine Physician
CommonSpirit Health – Opportunity in Omaha, Nebraska.
Job Summary Provide comprehensive outpatient family medicine care. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, develop treatment plans, communicate effectively with patients and team, maintain accurate records, participate in quality improvement and compliance.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive health assessments and develop patient care plans.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging.
Prescribe medications and therapies, provide health promotion and disease prevention education.
Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, coding and billing compliance.
Collaborate with nurses, specialists and interdisciplinary team; attend case discussions.
Participate in quality assurance, audit, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Adhere to ethical and legal standards, stay informed about regulations, and participate in quality audits.
Engage in ongoing medical education and contribute to clinical protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
American Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine.
Valid unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible.
Outpatient only, elective hospitalist support, 4 or 4.5 day work week (36 patient hours per week).
EPIC EMR proficiency.
Limited telephone call only; after-hours nurse triage line.
Strong communication, collaborative team approach.
