Pharmacy Willow Inpatient Specialist

UC Davis Clinical and Translational Science Center . The Clinical Information System Department supports the University of California Davis Health System’s mission by facilitating patient care through well documented Electronic Medical Records and clinical systems. This position works on the Epic Medications Team and oversees the building and maintenance of pharmacy systems within the health system’s information systems, including Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, Willow Inventory, Beacon, and other pharmacy related functionality.
Key Responsibilities
70% – Develop, support and maintain Pharmacy Willow Inpatient System in the EMR and related applications.
20% – Collaborate with the testing Analyst lead for Rx testing for Willow Inpatient/Willow Ambulatory.
10% – Provide implementation support.
Minimum Qualifications
California Pharmacist License, valid at the time of hire.
Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory and Beacon Certification within 6 months after hire.
Doctor of Pharmacy degree or related health‑care field and/or Pharmacy Residency or equivalent clinical experience.
3 years of pharmacy inpatient and ambulatory operations experience.
Experience in pharmacy medications.
Knowledge of First Data Bank, NDC, HCPCS, AWP, and ambulatory billing functions.
Experience implementing clinical systems in a large integrated health system.
Knowledge of inpatient, outpatient, ED and ancillary pharmacy workflows.
Knowledge of testing principles and databases.
Knowledge of clinical workflows.
Experience developing, supporting and testing interfaces from EMR to Pyxis and outpatient pharmacy systems.
Ability to design, build and test Clarity reports to monitor output and interfaces.
Ability to analyze medication data and reports to monitor output and interfaces.
Preferred Qualifications
Epic certification in Willow.
Experience working in an academic institution.
Experience implementing EMR medication pharmacy system.
3 years of pharmacy computer implementation and/or maintenance experience.
Experience with interfaced/integrated multi‑vendor applications.
Position Information
Salary or Pay Range: $203,378.23 – $229,048.31 (bi‑weekly $7,792.27 – $8,775.80).
Salary Grade: 115.
