Seton Hall University’s Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and the School of Diplomacy and International Relations invite applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in cybersecurity and policy to commence in the 2026-2027 academic year. The position will be a joint appointment housed in the College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, and with undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities each year for Computer Science (3 courses/9 credits) and Diplomacy and International Relations (3 courses/9 credits). Responsibilities Computer science courses related to cybersecurity. Government policy courses related to cyber security, information security, and cyber warfare. Modern statistical research methods and data analysis courses. We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to our degree programs in cybersecurity and international and homeland security and help launch our new curriculum in security and conflict analysis. Required Qualifications Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, or cybersecurity with academic training in public policy or extensive policy experience. Ph.D. in political science or a related discipline with academic computer science training or extensive technical experience. Demonstrated potential to teach effectively at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Strong research background or substantial potential for conducting important academic research in the field of specialization.
