As a vital member of the CANDA Solutions, LLC development team in Columbia, Maryland, the QA Test Engineer plays an essential role in designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test plans aimed at identifying software defects and ensuring optimal performance. Your expertise in SQL Java experience will shine as you work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to enhance the overall quality of our IT solutions. To thrive as a QA Test Engineer at CANDA Solutions, LLC, a strong foundation in software quality assurance and testing is crucial, with a minimum of three years of experience preferred. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures to ensure the quality of software applications. Your role will require the development and execution of functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to identify defects effectively. Familiarity with automated testing frameworks like Selenium and Cucumber is essential, alongside scripting skills in languages such as SQL, Java, or JavaScript. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills will empower you to document software defects accurately and collaborate effectively with developers. Attention to detail is paramount as you monitor application performance and ensure compliance with established standards. Additionally, familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and analytics tools such as Datadog and Splunk will enhance your ability to contribute to continuous improvement within our high-performance team. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated/manual scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.

Perform functional, regression, integration, compatibility, performance, and usability testing.

Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems; monitor resolution and retesting.

Conduct root cause analysis and assist in debugging by reviewing logs, configuration files, and code snippets.

Review software and technical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and risk mitigation.

Provide feedback to developers and stakeholders on software usability, quality, and readiness for release.

Plan test strategies and schedules based on project scope and timelines; update tests as needed.

Install, configure, and maintain testing environments and tools; replicate production environments for accurate testing.

Develop and maintain test standards, methods, and quality procedures.

Participate in design reviews and collaborate with developers, support teams, users, and customers to improve software quality and resolve issues.

Evaluate and recommend testing tools and technologies; conduct historical test result analysis.

Support user acceptance and third-party testing coordination.

Qualifications & Requirements: Active/Current Top Secret Clearance Experience: 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Skills: Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, JUnit, Cucumber, TestNG, etc.). Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
