About the College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) The College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) combines Northeastern University’s signature approach to experiential learning with liberal arts education, interdisciplinary research, and community engagement, both locally and globally.
Responsibilities The Academic Program Administrator provides support for student services and academic support in one or more units within CSSH. This includes supporting graduate students in the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs’ five Master’s and Ph.D. programs. The role involves working with the CSSH Graduate Office on admissions and recruitment, supporting recruitment efforts, graduate admissions, data tracking, and student advising in collaboration with faculty. The administrator also participates in student-centered events like orientation and recruitment, handles general program administration, and monitors student progress.
The position reports to the Associate Dean of Administration and Finance and supports curriculum changes, accreditation, and assessment, especially for online graduate courses. Additionally, they work with units and college staff on program marketing and student recruitment strategies.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree, with at least two years of experience in higher education.
Preferred: Degree in higher education administration, career development, or related fields; strong verbal, statistical, and analytical skills; experience in similar roles.
Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Compensation Grade/Pay Type: 107S
Expected Range: $52,820.00 - $74,607.50. The starting salary depends on various factors including education, experience, and skills. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and may change.
