Architectural Professional

to join us in a part-time, in-person role. This is a great opportunity for an early-to-mid-career professional (3–6 years of experience) who’s strong in production and eager to grow into a larger role over time. WHAT YOU’LL DO Support design development and contribute to early-phase concept work Independently produce and coordinate drawing sets to meet deadlines and standards Conduct zoning/code research and assist with permit submissions Create clear and compelling client-facing presentations and graphics Coordinate with consultants and track project deliverables Join occasional site visits and assist with construction administration Collaborate closely with the firm Principal WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We’re looking for a

versatile, motivated, and results-driven architectural professional

who brings both conceptual design thinking and strong technical production skills. You’ll need to move fluidly between drawing sets, zoning/code research, and client-facing work—and remain grounded, organized, and proactive as project needs evolve. The right person will thrive in a small, collaborative team—communicating thoughtfully, taking initiative, and managing shifting priorities with focus and follow-through. We value steady, self-directed contributors who care deeply about both the process and the product of design. 3–6 years of experience in an architecture firm Strong Revit skills and comfort navigating drawing sets Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Familiarity with AutoCAD and consultant coordination Organized, reliable, and self-motivated Able to work in-person in Washington, DC, and contribute meaningfully from day one Strong design, research, and technical drawing skills Knowledge of DC, Maryland, or Virginia permitting processes Experience with Twinmotion, Lumion, D5 Renderer or similar visualization tools WHAT WE OFFER Part-time, in-person role (20–25 hours/week) Direct collaboration with firm leadership Meaningful responsibility across a variety of project types A clear path to full-time and expanded responsibilities over time TO APPLY: Send a brief introduction, your resume, and a portfolio or work sample link through LinkedIn or to info@bigtent.design Seniority level
