JRI’s Younity Access Center
is an innovative program serving young adults (16-25) who are experiencing or are at risk of developing severe mental health challenges in the community of Gloucester. The program provides a drop-in center along with personalized support services, including the Transition to Independence Process and Peer Mentoring through Achieve My Plan. It employs targeted strategies to effectively engage young adults who may not be receiving adequate support from other systems and services.
Salary:
$56,000 to $60,000 per year
What You'll Do
Oversee the implementation of Wraparound services for identified transition-age young adults (TAYA) through a five-year Now Is the Time – Healthy Transitions SAMHSA Grant from the Department of Mental Health (DMH). This role also includes managing programming at a young adult Drop-In Center located in Gloucester. The Director, in partnership with DMH, will ensure appropriate training and supervision of a Peer Coordinator and two Young Adult Peer Mentors employed by Children’s Friend and Family Services, who are dedicated to engaging TAYA in identifying and accomplishing their goals.

Requirements
Must be 21 years or older. A minimum of five years of experience working with teens and young adults facing mental health challenges, along with their families, particularly those in the transition age group (16 – 25 years). Supervisory experience is required. Familiarity with child-serving systems (DCF, DMH, DYS, public schools, etc.). Experience in collaborating with key community stakeholders. Ability to think conceptually and abstractly, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Maintain a valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle is required. Background and driving record checks will be performed.
