APD Insights & Solutions The APD Insights & Solutions Team in Liberty Mutual’s Insights & Solutions group harnesses data, analytics, process/subject matter expertise, and technology to develop innovative solutions that drive our Auto Physical Damage business forward and support a high-performing culture. This group brings together talented thinkers and doers ready to challenge the status quo and make an impact. As a member of the team, you’ll collaborate across Liberty Mutual to deliver processes that drive results and foster new, better ways of working. We aim to be a top in class Auto Physical Damage Claims operation with a severity advantage and a top 3 LAE position. To achieve this, we invest in data and technology to improve investigation, appraisal, and recovery, while maintaining flexible, scalable processes that are easy for employees, customers, and partners. The Associate Claims Process Owner in APD Insights & Solutions will focus on delivering top process solutions and insights for the APD Inside and Small Commercial Organizations. The role involves collaborating with functions like Subrogation, Data Science, Claims Technology, and Casualty to define processes supporting effective operations, surface operational problems, and identify KPIs for improvement. This position owns critical claims processes, monitors performance, intervenes on variances, and promotes operational excellence. It requires developing deep subject matter expertise, leading process improvements, and informing system-wide strategies. The role involves working closely with enabler groups such as IT, compliance, analytics, and workforce planning, and developing a prioritized roadmap for opportunities and change management initiatives. There is an office requirement if residing within 50 miles of locations such as Columbus, Plano, Chandler, Liberty Lake, Westborough, Warrenville, Indianapolis, Suwanee, Orlando, Marlton, or Boston. Preference is given to candidates within hubs. Responsibilities Support process ownership, KPIs, insights, process mapping, and strategy development for APD Inside & Small Commercial. Understand performance relative to competitors and implement mitigation plans. Identify opportunities, root causes, and elevate issues with solutions. Work on complex assignments, designing process solutions that meet organizational needs. Create positive customer and employee experiences through process management. Influence strategic thinking and best practices across teams. Prioritize efforts based on business value and manage high-complexity deliverables. Lead projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and develop business strategies. Partner with enabling groups for work prioritization and develop a clear process vision for 1-2 years. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of industry knowledge, understanding of competitive landscape, and regulatory oversight. Experience in project planning, cost/benefit analysis, process diagramming, and benefit realization. Proven problem-solving, root cause analysis, and change implementation skills. Qualifications
Advanced claims/process knowledge and business operations understanding. Experience managing projects of varying complexity, with strong communication and relationship skills. Proven success in leading change initiatives and analyzing data for strategic insights. Strong process mapping skills and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in claims, insurance, or related fields. About Us
