Project Description:
Digital and Technology (DAT) Pricing Tools and Services team is responsible for pricing/offer planning, setup, computation, publishing, and providing necessary data to multiple experiences to display pricing. This team is made up of individuals from unique backgrounds and expertise who share the vision to modernization offer + pricing capabilities at Best Buy while also enhancing our systems to meet new business needs. This team is required to work with individuals across the company to help bring their strategies to life, having a unique opportunity to build a strong and robust network organically.
Position Summary/Job Description:
This is more of a technical product manager role who will dive into API contracts, understand data mappings, and work on technical solutions with the engineering teams. This resource will work closely with the Pricing Tools, Price Experience, and a multitude of other teams to assess solutions and impacts across systems in the enterprise. This role requires someone who can handle multiple, concurrent projects in parallel while managing all the teams’ dependencies.
Demonstrate empathy for customers and steer strategies to build customer trust Demonstrate the test / learn / iterate mindset Lead teams to innovate and transform by embracing new ways of working Analyze customer, offer, and operational trends to outline ways to improve pricing systems and experiences Partner with cross-functional teams (decision science, marketing, product, engineering, operations) to identify and deliver experiences that improve pricing capabilities Establish relationships with operations teams to build technology that enables sustainable operational models Skills Overview: What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job?
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing OR related fields OR equivalent experience 2-3 or more years of technical Product Management experience OR experience working with development, user experience, strategy, etc. 1-2 or more years of experience in strategy creation, customer-focused solutions, cross-functional leadership or related practices Collaborative personality with excellent leadership, verbal and written communication skills Ability to inspire, motivate, influence and manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders; building strong relationships is critical to our success What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for? 5 or more years of experience developing strategy for operational tools and/or e-commerce/mobile user experiences Experience working in Retail industry Interview Process Overview: Interview with hiring manager Interview with engineering manager and another product manager from the Pricing team. This will likely be broken into two interviews Possible interview with the director of the team
