Purpose Statement: Ensures the reliability and mechanical integrity of equipment for processes, utilities, facilities, and controls with the objective to constantly improve site production and cost performance. Develops engineering solutions for repetitive failures and other issues that adversely affect plant operations, including capacity, quality, cost, or regulatory compliance. Promotes, supports, coordinates, and facilitates multi-disciplinary, multi-level teamwork (reliability) improvement activities, both reactive and proactive, and assists in the implementation and follow-up of action items. Major Responsibilities: Ensures reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, and controls with the goal of improving site production and cost performance. Leads and drives the mechanical integrity program in compliance with regulations. Leads troubleshooting efforts for equipment reliability issues and conducts RCFA for repeated failures and failures impacting production, quality, and safety. Conducts RCM studies for critical assets/systems and implements the resulting action items. Runs online/offline condition monitoring programs across the site. Facilitates multi-disciplinary, multi-level teamwork (reliability) improvement activities, both reactive and proactive, and supports the implementation and follow-up of action items. Collaborates with project engineering teams to ensure reliability and maintainability of new or modified installations. Analyzes asset performance metrics such as asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness, remaining useful life, and capital replacement plans, as well as other parameters defining site KPIs like availability, maintenance performance, reliability, and R&M costs. Develops SOPs, equipment job aids, and checklists to ensure no equipment reliability issues post-repair. Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Experience: Minimum 5 years of work experience with a mechanical engineering degree or at least 15 years with a diploma, in pharmaceutical, biological, chemical, or oil & gas industries. Experience in driving RCM studies and RCFA. Knowledge of Asset Integrity Management. Hands-on experience in maintenance of processing equipment with strong technical knowledge. Skills: Ability to work in team and matrix environments with high initiative and self-motivation. Scientific problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making. Interest in driving and adopting new technologies. Proficiency in CMMS, reliability practices, and MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Project). Knowledge of vibration analysis, RCM, and RBI. API 510/570/580 certifications are advantageous. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and a hands-on attitude. CgMP experience is a plus.
