As we continue to grow and broaden our footprint, we are expanding our Operations Team in the greater Chicago area. We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record in Manufacturing Excellence and Consulting - someone who embraces continuous improvement and brings an entrepreneurial mindset.
This role involves on-site work at portfolio companies located across US territory.
Your Tasks:
Lead Lean Production Stream in restructuring and Turnaround projects: Provide focused leadership with strategic directions and expertise to enable Lean Operations and Continuous Improvement. Deploy Turnaround Lean Approach for Production, define Roadmaps, optimize Processes, Organization and Systems to improve Performance in Direct and Indirect areas of Production (Value-added, Efficiency, Productivity, costs ratio...) Engage local teams, timeously monitor action plans execution, lead Breakthrough Initiatives and Workshops, provide Guidance and Training Identify Benchmarks, enforce Basics, deploy Best Practices and Enable Synergies Support M&A-Team in due diligence with Expert Assessment, Analysis and recommendations
Your Profile:
Successfully completed a degree in mechanical/industrial engineering or equal education/study, with advanced business knowledge At least 7 years of experience in Production Management (Manufacturing or Services, Corporate or Consulting background) with exposure to Lean Management Principles Genuine Team Player, Cross Functional mindset and abilities not optional (!) Structured and pragmatic hands-on approach to solve problems and drive impact combined with an entrepreneurial and team mindset, strong commitment and motivation Subject Matter Expertise in one or several of the key areas of Production Management: Lean Management, Six Sigma, Process Standardization, Maintenance, Engineering, Program Management, etc...) Business fluency in English with the ability to communicate in a well-structured and concise manner, another language is a plus Willingness to travel 4 days per week (typ. Mon - Thu)
