Our brands currently include Beyond the Stars, Groove, Breakout, and Reverb! Collectively, we host over 200 regional dance competitions, 8 national finals, and 13 fall dance conventions per season. The Backstage Team is responsible for the set-up and breakdown of the stage and backstage area which may include a Marley floor, backdrop, awards, lights, etc. Once dancers are in the building, the Backstage Team should go into the dressing room to introduce themselves, get familiar with studio directors, and make any important announcements. During the show, the Backstage Team is responsible for going to and from the dressing room to get dancers lined up, check in dancers, communicate with all necessary team members, and keep the show running smooth and on-time. They are also responsible for keeping the backstage area clear of any extra people, as well as keeping the stage clear of debris. During the show, the Backstage Team will work closely with studio directors, dancers, and prop-handlers to keep props organized. The Backstage Team may be responsible for setting up and organizing awards at various events, as well as passing out awards on stage during the awards ceremonies. Responsibilities of the Backstage Team include: Set-up and breakdown (laying a Marley floor, hanging a backdrop, organizing the backstage area, lights, etc.) Enter each dressing room at the beginning of each day and introduce themselves to the students, parents and staff. Provide them with any additional information they may need. Strongly communicate with one another as a backstage team, along with all other team members. Ensure dancers, studio directors, teachers, etc. are having a fun time! Manage props and communicate with prop-handlers. Ensure the show is running on-time and that entries are lined up to perform. Set up and organize awards (event dependent) Attend all mandatory training sessions. Comply with all policies and procedures listed in your employee handbook. Adhere to all other duties assigned by event director or designee. Qualifications: Valid driver's license Ability to work weekends (Thursday–Monday) and travel from January–June. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Comfortable working in dynamic and fast-paced environments. Flexibility and adaptability in responding to shifting event needs.
