Job Summary
Seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to become a member of a mature software development effort using Java as the primary language \ The development effort uses Agile methods to assign, track and manage software activities and requirements within the team
This position will allow a software developer to develop and broaden their skills in the Java language as well as use current technologies such as Quarkus and PrimeFaces
Use of these technologies allows for full stack development, to include ease of building User Interfaces
Primary Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and services
Implement secure, scalable, and cost‑optimized architectures in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Collaborate with product managers, systems engineers, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and infrastructure automation
Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code following best practices
Integrate APIs, microservices, and third‑party services into cloud applications
Monitor system performance and implement improvements for scalability and reliabilitySupport troubleshooting, debugging, and incident response activities
Contribute to security reviews, compliance requirements, and adherence to coding/security standards
Stay current on emerging cloud technologies, tools, and best practices
Required Qualifications
Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
Shall have a total of at least fourteen (14) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
One of the following Cloud Developer Certifications are required:
AWS Certified Developer‑Associate
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field is highly desired which will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience. A Master's degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of experience. NOTE: A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical field.
Hadoop/Cloud Developer Certification
Familiarity with:
AWS Cloud technologies
Quarkus
Agile methods and tools
Ability to work in a team environment; good communication and collaboration skills; self‑starter
Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
