Heavy Equipment Operator Job at Paxcos in Baltimore

About This Position Patuxent Materials, Inc. is seeking experienced heavy equipment operators. The operator’s duties include preparing and operating heavy equipment to ensure the appropriate movement and extraction of materials. Minimum Qualifications Diploma and at least one year of experience operating heavy equipment. Essential Functions Maneuver motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials (Loaders, Excavators, Bulldozers, Crushing equipment). Maintain an orderly and clean site by following the site plan, establishing individual piles of material, and generally keeping the site organized. Comply with safety rules/codes as stated by governmental and regulatory agencies. Communicate with coworkers to understand project specifications as needed. Advise the foreman of needed repairs for equipment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Prior experience operating a variety of heavy equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Excellent vision or use of prescribed lenses. Sound understanding of proper safety guidelines. Ability to work extended hours, as required.
