Leads and manages programs, staff, and budgets to improve health outcomes for mothers, children, and families. Responsibilities include setting strategic direction, ensuring compliance with standards, promoting quality and safety, and fostering collaborations with other departments and community organizations. The role requires strong leadership, clinical experience (especially in public health or nursing), and excellent administrative, communication, and data analysis skills. Member of the Executive Leadership Team working with the DPH Commissioner. Lead development, implementation, management and evaluation of the Department’s Child Health, Women’s Health, Home Visiting, Telemedicine, and Oral Health programs and services. Provide leadership and support for the Office of Nursing and Office of Pharmacy. Manage internal operations, including policy and procedure development, personnel functions, training, and workforce development initiatives. Provide leadership support across the Offices of Child Health, Women’s Health, Nursing, Oral Health, Telehealth, and Pharmacy. Implement division‑wide projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and public health priorities. Manage legislative inquiries related to division programs, services, and budget items; prepare timely, accurate responses for internal and external stakeholders. Represent the division in meetings with state leadership, external partners, and stakeholders, communicating priorities and program outcomes. Provide vision and direction for WCN services, setting goals and priorities for the department or division. Supervise and manage personnel, budgets, internal and external affairs, and functional areas, monitor financial performance and programs within the office. Develop statewide partnerships and initiatives related to public health and maternal and child health, including coordination of surveillance activities and supervision of regulatory or statutory programs. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Ten years of experience managing professional level staff and Ten years of related professional experience. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in public health or related field. Strong leadership and management skills, project management abilities, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Employment Information

DPH accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) as valid.
