Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr

Founder and CEO | Consult Energy Inc | Renewable energy recruitment experts in the USA Overview We are hiring a Lead Electrical Engineer (M2) to support and direct electrical design work on hyper‑scale data center, commercial and large industrial projects. This role combines technical leadership with hands‑on engineering and requires someone confident supervising a small team while owning major design deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the electrical design process for hyper‑scale data centers and large commercial projects

Oversee creation and review of full construction documents, drawings, specifications and complex power studies

Coordinate design requirements with project managers, field teams, architects, MEP engineers and owner stakeholders

Ensure compliance with NEC, state codes, IEEE standards and project‑specific requirements

Support commissioning activities and provide technical guidance during construction

Supervise and mentor engineers, designers and CAD/BIM personnel

Review project schedules, manage team workloads and support bid and proposal activities

Drive QAQC processes throughout design

Contribute to departmental standards, CAD/VDC workflows and documentation procedures

Conduct performance reviews for direct reports and support technical development across the team

Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering or similar

Active California PE licence, with ability to obtain additional state licences

5 to 7 years experience working as a PE on hyper‑scale data center design‑build projects

Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP, Revit and power systems software (ETAP or SKM)

Strong understanding of NEC, state codes and electrical design for mission‑critical environments

Experience supervising design or engineering personnel

Excellent communication, coordination and time management skills
