What You’ll Do
Build the Foundations of Trust by designing and shipping systems that make Sierra’s platform secure by default, spanning privacy, identity, authentication, authorization, and data security.
Own Cross‑Cutting Systems, partnering with product and platform teams to implement and evolve Sierra’s trust primitives: identity management, access control, auditability, and data lifecycle management.
Secure Agentic AI Systems by building controls that ensure AI agents cannot leak customer data, execute unauthorized actions, or be manipulated into unintended behavior.
Automate and Scale Security-Adjacent Workflows by creating developer‑friendly tooling to reduce risk and friction, such as automating security checks in CI/CD or enforcing privacy boundaries through schema validation.
What You’ll Bring
Strong Software Engineering skills with production experience in Python, Go, or TypeScript; comfortable designing APIs and integrating with authentication or identity frameworks.
A security mindset, thinking like a security engineer about data flows, storage, access, least privilege, and transparency.
Product and platform mindset, building secure systems that enable, not block, innovation and working closely with product teams to balance trade‑offs.
Curiosity and ownership, diving deep to understand and strengthen the stack, and a drive to trace token propagation or LLM interactions.
Even Better If
Experience in privacy, identity, trust & safety, auth/authz, or data protection systems.
Built security frameworks, libraries, or tooling that developers use, or integrated security automation into CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to AI systems or designing secure‑by‑default LLM applications.
A proactive attacker mindset, asking “what could go wrong?” and having fixed real security issues in production.
Thriving in 0→1 environments where foundational systems balance speed, reliability, and trust.
