Senior Product Manager Kemin Animal Nutrition & Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Manager specializing in Intestinal Health. This position plays a key role in overseeing and developing strategic marketing initiatives for our intestinal health product portfolio and providing leadership for designated product lines and/or platforms. The selected individual will manage market segment growth, new product development, pricing/costing strategies, and communication of sales analysis reports, while working cross‑functionally throughout the division and company to achieve financial and customer objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and platform marketing plans to drive sales and profitability of the intestinal health portfolio.

Oversee the product lifecycle, from development to market launch, ensuring adherence to high product standards.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to introduce new products and identify cost‑reduction opportunities.

Ensure continuous improvement and growth of the intestinal health platform.

Lead product strategy, including strategic marketing and new business initiatives.

Oversight of product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution.

Set pricing strategy, including pricing and volume discount schedules.

Develop communication plans (positioning, target, tactics) and packaging.

Develop, publish, and communicate annual marketing plans for assigned products in collaboration with marketing and commercial teams.

Conduct market analysis to monitor competitive products and marketing activities.

Translate research data into product performance updates, technical bulletins, and sales/marketing materials.

Provide marketing expertise, support, and education to the commercial team.

Create and deliver presentations to customers as requested by commercial.

Track and measure key performance metrics and report findings.

Drive product innovation processes, championing products from concept to launch.

Develop and manage global strategic alliances and negotiate commercial deal terms.

Maintain a consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials, and events.

Work with Research and Development and Technical Services to strengthen the product story through research initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum 7+ years of product management experience in the animal health or nutrition industry (MBA with animal science background or Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of related experience).

At least 3+ years of project management experience (PMP certification preferred).

Proven experience in strategic marketing and product lifecycle management.

Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze product costs, margin, pricing, and market share.

Ability to work cross‑functionally and lead diverse teams.

Commitment to innovation, excellence, and results.

Integrity and honesty.

Good understanding of the chemical and biological sciences related to product manufacturing and technology.

High potential candidates with less experience may be considered for a role commensurate with their skills and work history.

Location

This position is based in our Worldwide headquarters in Des Moines, IA.
