Pilgrim Psychiatric Center (PPC) – Clinical Lead Psychiatrists
PPC, an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrists to serve as the Clinical Leads of multidisciplinary treatment teams. Positions are available in PPC’s inpatient units located on the main campus in West Brentwood, NY.
As a Psychiatrist at PPC, you will provide comprehensive, patient centered, and recovery focused treatments to individuals with mental illness 18 year of age or older.
Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments and patient admissions
Creating treatment plans including medication management
Obtaining and reviewing appropriate laboratory tests and consulting with members of treatment team as needed
Providing individual and group psychotherapy
Supervising Psychiatric Residents and Fellows

PPC serves the complex psychiatric needs of persons with mental illness in Nassau and Suffolk County. PPC has a recovery-oriented treatment philosophy and provides a wide array of services including behavioral modalities, animal assisted therapy, and ECT. PPC is affiliated with several academic institutions and provides clinical training to Psychiatric Residents and Fellows.
Minimum Qualifications:
Psychiatrist 1: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and completion of a training program in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.
Psychiatrist 2: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and certification in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.
