This is the first level in the surgical technologist career ladder. New graduates or experienced CST are welcome! The Surgical Tech at Brigham and Women Hospital plays an important role in the preparation, maintenance, and peri‑operative care of patients. Working closely with surgeons and nurses, a Surgical Tech must understand sterile techniques and be able to work quickly and accurately in a fast‑paced, energetic, collaborative, and innovative environment.
Job Summary Endoscopy Surgical Technologist – 36 hour week, 3‑12 hour shifts. No call, no weekends or holidays. $10,000 sign‑on bonus offered to eligible new hires. Experienced CST welcome.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program. Current Surgical Technologist Certification is required or have been employed as a surgical technologist in a surgical facility on or before July 1, 2013, or have successfully completed a training program for surgical technology in the armed forces or U.S. Public Health Service.
Graduates who have not obtained certification will have one year from the date of graduation to obtain certification.
Candidates currently close to completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge of patient care and aseptic technique is essential. Ability to organize and prioritize work.
May not currently hold a valid nursing license.
Preferred experience: Endo experience preferred.
