Position Overview The Client Relationship Management (CRM) Specialist will apply their skills as a seasoned database professional to support and grow the capabilities of the Slate platform to meet the needs of Undergraduate Admissions. The role involves recommending, implementing, and managing a variety of email campaigns, maintaining template libraries, queries, and reports within Slate, and ensuring timely deployment, accurate population management, and effective reporting.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage email campaigns in Slate, ensuring timely deployment, accurate population management, and effective reporting.

Build and maintain template libraries, queries, and reports within Slate.

Conduct data integrity checks and ongoing analysis of business processes to align with departmental goals.

Lead or coordinate projects with cross‑functional teams (e.g., enrollment marketing) to address undergraduate admissions needs.

Provide documentation, training, and support to admission staff on Slate functionality.

Think critically and creatively about using Slate to increase efficiencies and enrich the experience for students, parents, and counselors, supporting enrollment goals.

Work independently, own responsibilities, and see projects through to completion.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent experience.

4 – 7 years of related experience in database management, CRM, or admissions technology.

Thorough knowledge of business and process analysis functions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams.

Self‑motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrated problem‑solving and testing skills.

Knowledge of IT processes, methodology, and system design.

Experience with use‑case modeling, user stories, and systems requirement documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of IT systems, methodologies, and architecture in a higher‑education environment.

Experience handling diverse workloads and stakeholders in rapidly changing settings.

Location & Salary Hybrid in‑person/telecommute; fully remote possible with approval from the Director of Undergraduate Admissions.

Annual salary: $75,900 – $133,200 (expected $75,900).

Legal & Relocation Applicants must have current UCR work authorization; the university does not sponsor employment visas.
