Project Manager I Company Overview
We are a full-service HVAC, building automation, chiller, and retrofit contractor. Our integrated, single-source solutions include turnkey in-house capabilities with design assistance, engineering applications, and automated control systems. Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Manager I to oversee the operations of a major HVAC contract. The role involves financial forecasting, team leadership, operations management, and safety program development. Responsibilities
Prepare quarterly financial forecasts and monthly updates to meet contractual and financial goals. Lead a team of technical employees, maintaining a trained, disciplined workforce. Manage overall contract operations, including daily operations, scheduled maintenance, and sub‑contract administration. Evaluate project efficiency, controlling operational expenses while meeting maintenance practice and contractual requirements. Provide administrative and technical direction to staff completing work assignments. Plan, delegate major project assignments to supervisory staff, determining building priorities. Ensure proper upkeep of facilities, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sanitation, general appearance, and emergency situations. Coordinate purchase of supplies, equipment, services, and maintain inventory control. Maintain liaison with architects, engineers, and contractors/sub‑contractors on plant expansion or renovation. Maintain records, files, controls, procedures to support management and work production. Develop training sessions for employees as needed. Maintain a strong safety program. Plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control all aspects of physical plant activities. Work with customers to find mutually satisfactory solutions to difficult issues. Work with management systems and variety of skilled/unskilled, professional, and industry personnel. Perform basic office administration, plant management, reporting, budgeting, control, business operations, blueprints, and construction maintenance. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction discipline. 2+ years of demonstrated experience managing HVAC projects. Strong experience with Windows and MS Office. Demonstrated skill at developing and nurturing client relationships. Excellent communication skills – verbal and written. Skilled in organizing and leading groups of people. Capable of working independently or as part of a team and adapting to changing priorities. Must be able to walk throughout a large facility, climb stairs, and walk on catwalks. Compensation Range
$90,000 - $115,000 per year Benefits
