The Court Program Specialist I in the Family Court Services Department assists with providing case management services and court support to the judiciary in the Pro Se and Domestic Violence divisions. This position is responsible for preparing Court orders based upon the ruling of the Court in various Domestic Relations cases. The role also prepares weekly dockets/calendars for different types of hearings, assists in the preparation of files for domestic relations hearings, attends judicial hearings, and obtains information pertinent to all case types, including criminal backgrounds of all parties. This position may be assigned to the Pro Se or the Domestic Violence Division, or a combination of both, based on the needs of the Divisions.
The ideal candidate needs to be detail oriented with excellent written and oral communication skills, experienced with Microsoft Office Suite applications, and have a familiarity with Supreme Court Approved forms pertaining to Domestic Relations Cases. These can include all types of Injunctions, Dissolution of Marriage, Temporary Custody, Name Change or Paternity cases. Customer service training and experience would be helpful for the face‑to‑face interaction required during the check‑in process for court hearings, as well as phone contact with litigants and other professionals.
Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major study in public or judicial administration, business, education, social work, criminal justice, law (paralegal), or a related social science. Progressively responsible experience may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis for the required college training. To apply, please submit a resume and application.
