Analyst – Investment Data & Operations

The Analyst – Investment Data & Operations is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of investment data across the organization. This role involves strategic oversight of data sourcing, validation, processing, and distribution, supporting informed decision‑making and maintaining the reliability of our financial data infrastructure.
We operate a hybrid working model; you will work in‑office 3 days a week. Location: Charlotte, NC or Milwaukee, WI.
Responsibilities
Data Validation and Quality Control:
Oversee daily validation of securities, issuers, and benchmark domains.
Implement data quality checks and validation rules to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and errors.
Investigate and resolve data quality issues efficiently, escalating complex problems as needed.
Develop and maintain documentation for data validation processes and procedures.
Data Acquisition and Sourcing:
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new pricing and valuation data sources.
Establish robust data feeds and integrations with external vendors and internal systems.
Collaborate with market data management to ensure data quality and contractual compliance.
Data Distribution and Reporting:
Prepare and distribute pricing and valuation data to internal & external stakeholders.
Develop and maintain automated data delivery processes.
Respond to ad‑hoc data requests and support users accessing data.
Process Improvement and Documentation:
Identify opportunities to streamline data operations and improve efficiency.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for data sources, processes, and workflows.
Contribute to development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.
CANDIDATE PROFILE We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst who can work independently on complex processes. Ideal candidates have knowledge of financial products and valuation, along with a strong background in data management and experience with SQL, PowerApps, and Python.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
5+ years experience in an investment services role
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Proficiency with data management tools and software (Bloomberg, Excel, SQL, VBA, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with accounting and valuation of asset classes including structured products and derivatives
Experience with Accounting and Trading Systems such as APX, CRD, Bloomberg
Base Pay Range: $110,000 – $125,000. Actual base salary may vary based on experience, role, salary peers, performance, business sector, and geography. In addition to base salary, the compensation package may include an incentive program linked to performance.
