Overview
The Director of Regulatory Reporting will oversee the production and filing of complex regulatory reports with various bank regulatory bodies including the Federal Reserve and FDIC. This individual will work closely with the broader finance organization and IT partners in developing strategic and tactical reporting solutions to ensure that reports are prepared in accordance with the reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
Oversee the accurate and timely preparation, review, production and distribution of external corporate and bank regulatory financial reports (e.g., FDIC and FRB).
Maintain a strong control environment, provide timely information to testing groups, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
Maintain and review policies and procedures for compliance with regulations and corporate standards.
Communicate with internal and external auditors and examiners related to regulatory reporting matters.
Provide strategic advice to the Director of Financial Reporting, Deputy Corporate Controller and other senior leaders.
Lead development of implementation strategies for complex and ever‑changing regulatory reporting requirements.
Pioneer automation opportunities to create efficiencies and reduce manual processes.
Monitor developments internal and external that may impact regulatory reporting.
Lead ad‑hoc projects across the regulatory reporting team.
Provide leadership, talent development, and mentoring for team members.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, MIS or equivalent education and related training.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and strong technical accounting knowledge.
15 years of relevant financial systems experience, including 10 years in an environment using integrated data and governance platforms and 10 years of leadership/supervisory experience.
10+ years SAS/SQL programming expertise (TOAD/Aginity).
Proficiency in ROLAP/OLAP tools and Business Intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau.
Extensive experience with databases such as DB2, Oracle, or Teradata.
Strong leadership, teamwork, self‑motivation, ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (esp. spreadsheets).
Preferred
Master’s or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics or MIS.
Experience with project management tools (Microsoft Project), Six Sigma certification.
Experience with change management tools Team Foundation Server and/or WorkFront.
