Position Scope / Summary The Materials Coordinator is an entry‑level role primarily responsible for ensuring adequate levels of materials exist to avoid production stoppage, moving material, finished goods, and components between locations. The candidate will use a RF scanner to move raw material, inventory, and finished goods into location, and will have knowledge of the required material handling equipment to set up, break down, and clean said equipment.
Role and Responsibilities
Identify, select, and move materials to support production jobs.
Ensure all material movements are transacted within the computer system to maintain inventory accuracy.
Initiate material lot change.
Check status of material during production and replenish as needed.
Verify proper operation of production equipment and initiate maintenance requests for equipment requiring attention.
Perform line clearances, including cleaning and storing equipment, cleaning machine and raw material bays, and returning material to warehouse.
Move regrind, runners, and other scrap parts to the regrind trailer.
Communicate job status and production issues with the next shift.
Follow and support all company and safety policies and procedures.
Move complete pallets from PPNC locations to FGB locations daily.
Maintain the rear yard area, especially after equipment cleaning.
May be called upon to assist as a machine operator.
Assist Machine Operators 3 and 4 in addressing machine issues.
Perform RMB audits as requested by supervisor or manager.
Perform weekly warehouse maintenance housekeeping as requested by supervisor or manager.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
1–2 years’ experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing work environment.
Forklift experience and certification required.
Basic mathematical skills.
Analytical troubleshooting.
Ability to read technical drawings/prints.
Strong mechanical/technical aptitude.
Work with minimal supervision.
Computer skills as required by stated accountabilities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Provide overtime coverage for alternate shifts or weekends as required.
