Stratton Ridge – Freeport, Texas (Pipeline Supply Organization)
Salary:
$122,229 – $152,787 commensurate with experience
Job Purpose:
Within the Olefins & Polymers USA division, the Pipeline Supply Organization (PSO) manages the Stratton Ridge salt dome storage facility, the Hobbs Fractionation Complex, and over 500 miles of pipelines. The Supervisor oversees field automation, SCADA and control systems, and telecommunications equipment for the PSO pipelines.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Accountability 1:
Safety, Health, Environmental (SHE)
Develop and deploy pipeline leak monitoring software and support calibration and testing.
Provide technical support for PHA/risk studies for PSO.
Support site leak detection system (LEL meters).
Accountability 2:
Process Control Management
Manage on‑site configuration and development of the Process Control Network.
Maintain graphics, programming, and design changes to Honeywell control system.
Support design and configuration of process and ambient LEL meters.
Provide key data for monthly reporting related to alarm management, inventories, and operating envelope deviations.
Accountability 3:
Manage Pipeline Communication Network
Develop and implement satellite and radio based communication options for remote metering sites.
Ensure communication between field and base station.
Support base station roll‑over capability in the event of incident at the primary location.
Accountability 4:
Supervise Analyzer Technicians
Support pipeline and Stratton Ridge with analyzer support and design.
Provide training and guidance to 2 analyzer technicians.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma, technical school completion, or equivalent experience. Engineering degree is a plus.
Experience:
Programming experience with PLCs, OmniFlow computers, Honeywell Experion/TDC3‑000 SCADA/DCS system, Arcom communications equipment. Pipeline experience preferred.
Skills:
Basic understanding of PLC programming, OmniFlow, Honeywell Experion/TDC3‑000 SCADA/DCS, Arcom communications equipment.
General knowledge of VSATs and networking.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills – verbal and written.
Self‑starter, organized, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Ability to effectively manage change and multiple priorities.
Proven track record in problem solving and decision making.
