seeks a QAQC Inspector to support field operations for water resource projects across the Western U.S.
Responsibilities
Implement Quality Control practices and procedures
Ensure all work is in conformance with the contractual requirements
Verify all material incorporated into the project conforms to all submittals, project specifications and drawings
Understand and execute the required testing procedures in conformance with the contract documents and industry standards
Create/Prepare outgoing correspondence to the clients, subcontractors, and other outside entities, ensuring accuracy, quality and professionalism of work.
Monitor, document and track all Quality Control documents including but not limited to Quality Control Daily Reports, Testing and Inspection Reports, Preparatory/Initial Meetings, and other project specific document management/tracking requirements.
Schedule and Review all special inspection and material testing performed by third parties
Serve as the primary onsite representative for the owner during construction.
Conduct daily site inspections to verify compliance with design plans, specifications, permits, and applicable codes.
Monitor construction activities including grading, erosion control, stormwater management, pipe installation, pump stations, water/wastewater infrastructure, and other related systems.
Document field conditions and maintain detailed daily inspection reports, photos, and records.
Coordinate with contractors, clients, regulatory agencies, and design engineers to resolve field issues.
Review and verify contractor submittals, test reports, and materials for compliance with project requirements.
Perform QAQC checks on workmanship and materials; identify and document deficiencies or non-conformances.
Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
Assist with punch list development and final project closeout inspections.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is highly desired in the related fields of Construction Management or Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years' heavy civil experience in a QA/QC capacity.
Working knowledge of water resource construction techniques and QAQC procedures.
Familiarity with local/state/federal environmental and safety regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and field reporting software (e.g., e-Builder, Procore, etc.).
OSHA 30 preferred.
Compensation Package
Pay Range: $140,000 – 180,000 (DOE)
