ALL POSITIONS ARE SUBJECT TO DRUG TESTING AND BACKGROUND CHECKS. Responsible for care and management of transfer station, i.e., open and close at posted times; monitor county radios during hours of operation; verify all vehicles have a valid county sticker attached to their windshield and it matches the tag number; check all recycle bins, recycle antifreeze, oil and packer (if at the station); open tops and metal bins to see if they are full and empty. At the end of each day, report the capacity of the bins; keep transfer station entrance, grounds and building clean and free of debris at all times; clean around all recycle bins. Ground Maintenance (mowing & trimming grass) Qualifications Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability & knowledge of using lawn equipment. Special Requirements High school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license. Experience in recycling operations preferred. Ability to comprehend safety training; pass drug testing; be familiar with First Aid Supplies; use of Fire Extinguisher and must obtain Homeland Security Certifications.
