JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist to join our team in delivering consistent, high-impact learning experiences across Pulte Financial Services. This role will focus on developing, implementing,facilitating, and maintaining a wide range of training programs, from process-specific technical instruction to broad industry overviews.
The ideal candidate will possess strong facilitation skills, a background in instructional design, and experience supporting learning needs in a mortgage banking or financial services environment. In addition to training delivery, this role will play a key part in creating engaging, interactive learning materials using design tools
This role will collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), department leaders, and cross-functional teams to support both tactical training needs and strategic initiatives ensuring all activities align with state and regulatory requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate engaging, learner-focused training sessions for new hire onboarding, Mortgage Banking One (MB1), customer service, and internal systems (Empower, iPath , Mortgage Underwriter, OneView, ELF, etc.)
Design, develop, and update instructional materials and resources in various formats (eLearning, instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, video, job aids, etc.)
Serve as a training consultant to front-line leaders by identifying performance gaps and proposing training-based solutions
Support organizational change initiatives by creating and delivering relevant training aligned to business needs
Conduct learning needs assessments and recommend appropriate instructional approaches
Apply adult learning principles to ensure materials are accessible, engaging, and impactful across different learning styles
Implement learning measurement strategies to evaluate program effectiveness and guide continuous improvement
Manage multiple training projects from concept to execution with minimal supervision
Collaborate on strategic department initiatives and contribute to enterprise-wide learning efforts
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience in learning and development, training, or instructional design
Experience facilitating training to both in-person and remote audiences
Mortgage banking experience, particularly in loan origination, processing, and/or underwriting
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
E xceptional
Effective analytical, troubleshooting, collaboration and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills.
Excellent facilitation and presentation reporting skills.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
Demonstrated experience applying adult learning principles to content delivery and design
Preferred:
Bachelors degree in Education , Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related field
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Proficiency in digital content design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and eLearning software such as Adobe Captivate, Lectora , and Camtasia
Experience developing and delivering both synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences
Background in project management, including scoping, timelines, and stakeholder communication
SALARY RANGE FOR COLORADO ONLY: $78,000 to $85,000 annually depending upon experience.
This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.
