An office-based practice in Queens is currently seeking a Rheumatologist for a promising opportunity with their growing team.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday with one Saturday per month (day off the Monday after working a Saturday)
- Hours: 9am-5pm with one later night per week
- Patient volume: 2-3 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Review patient history and perform physical examinations
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care
- Recommend and order lab tests including X-rays of the joints to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition
- Diagnose disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and immune system
- Diagnose and treat rheumatic disorders of the skeletal system, muscles, and joints
- Treat patients with rheumatic diseases including, but not limited to lupus, tendonitis, arthritis, myositis, scleroderma, and osteoporosis
- Prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs and other medications
- Formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans
Qualifications:
- Current unrestricted NYS medical license
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Rheumatology
- 1-3 years of experience in outpatient setting
