Locums - Emergency Medicine - Chattanooga, Tennessee

Schedule & Shift Details:
10-hour and 12-hour shifts
AM and PM shift coverage needed
Orientation includes shadowing and EMR training
Position Overview:This Emergency Medicine locums role provides coverage across both the main ED and FSED locations. New graduates are accepted, and providers will practice full-scope emergency medicine in a high-acuity environment with strong clinical support and varying provider structure based on site and shift.
Daily Breakdown / Responsibilities:
Standard EM procedural expectations: intubations, central lines, laceration repairs
Nurse/APP triage for lower-acuity patients
ED admission rate: 10-20%
Number of ER bays: 18
Patient volume: 108 patients / hour (total department load; distributed among team)
Patient mix: all acuity levels
Provider Coverage Structure:
FSED: 1:1 (Physician + APP)
Main Campus: 1 physician to 2 APPs until 2:00 a.m., then 1:1 starting 08:00 a.m.
