Locums Physician - Infectious Disease Clinic + Call Indianapolis, IN (IMLC accepted) Why This Role
- Full-time locum coverage for maternity/paternity leave at a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Inpatient setting with no admissions required
- Work alongside a dedicated team including RN, MA, and APP support Assignment Details
- Dates: 12/1/2025 - 6/30/2026
- Schedule: Scheduled clinical hours plus call
- Patients per shift: 15
- Call: 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month; beeper call; 30-minute response time
- EMR: Cerner Clinical Details
- Required skills: Microscopic specimen evaluation, management of vascular access devices/central venous catheters, familiarity with IV medications, aspiration of abscess, arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, thoracentesis
- Not required: Central line placement, intrathecal administration of anti-infective agents, liver biopsy Requirements
- Board eligible or board certified in Infectious Disease
- Fellowship in Infectious Disease
- Active IN license or IMLC
- BLS certification Skills Needed
- Microscopic specimen evaluation
- Management of vascular access devices/central venous catheters
- Familiarity with intravenous medications
- Aspiration of abscess
- Arthrocentesis
- Lumbar puncture
